The Defencell™ DT1 Force Protection System provides the next-generation of man-portable blast and bomb protection for expeditionary forces. Using only local granular fill such as sand, gravel, or rock, troops can quickly deploy small fortifications and fighting positions that can be used for personnel protection, perimeter protection, and critical asset protection.

The DT1 cellular-based containment system can withstand small arms fire, medium and heavy mortars, and other fragmenting weapons. This 100% textile barrier is the result of years of research and testing to create a man-portable defensive structure that can withstand blasts while mitigating the risk of secondary fragmentation.

The DT1 is ideal for urban environments that require immediate force protection. Warfighters on the ground can quickly construct defensive fighting positions, serpentines, and other defensive barriers to protect forward operating bases from ballistics, drive-by shootings, snipers, and VBIEDs.

How to Install

Using these four simple steps, the man-portable DT1 can be combat ready in about 20 minutes.

1. Field carry by rucksack
2. Unpack and pull into shape
3. Fill with local granular fill (sand, gravel, rock)
4. Stomp down to improve structural integrity

How does it Ship?

When packed, the DT1 tactical field kit takes up the same amount of space as a full sandbag, making it easy to store and move. An unpacked and filled DT1 makes a wall section 16 feet long, 20 inches high and 28 inches wide for squad-sized protection; the equivalent of 216 sandbags. When erected, the DT1 provides a highly stable base that permits stacking to deliver greater levels of troop protection.

The DT1 man portable tactical field kit can be shipped in a special-purpose rucksack created specifically for expeditionary fire teams. For larger projects, the thicker DC2s, DC3s, and DC4s can be air dropped by pallet.
