Defencell™ Force Protection Systems provide expedient bullet and blast protection for mission-critical physical assets such as forward operating base (FOB) infrastructure, military buildings, vehicle staging areas, maintenance facilities, aircraft parking areas, assembly areas, ammunition depots, and supply depots.
Defencell is the result of years of research and testing to develop a field expedient military asset protection system that mitigates the fragmentation risks of metal cage gabions, steel rebar, and concrete.
With no prior engineering experience, soldiers can construct asset-specific defensive structures such as traverses, vertical walls, bund systems, revetments, and road blocks in about 20 minutes.
Defencell’s 100% geotextile construction absorbs blasts across the length of the fabric, protecting valuable assets from high velocity shrapnel. There are no metal parts or other elements that can cause RF interference, making Defencell ideal for bunker-type construction and protective walls around communications-dependent facilities.
Defencell also provides concealment of critical assets for various combat environments. Defencell can also safely be painted with no detrimental effects on field life. Defencell has been chemically treated to reduce deterioration caused by UV light, and can be UV coated for additional protection.
Mortar Defense
Fortifying mortar positions with Defencell provides blast protection from ballistic threats up to .50 caliber and 14.5mm, as well as from fragmentation weapons such as medium and heavy mortars.
Ammunition Depot
Defencell protects munitions storage areas from blast damage that can cause accidental ignition or detonation. Defencell’s rapid deployment capabilities also make it ideal for quickly securing newly discovered weapon caches.
Airport Protection
Defencell is at home on military or civilian airports. With highly flexible and stackable construction options, Defencell can thwart infiltration, VBIED, sabotage, and espionage attempts.
Foward Area Refueling Point
Expeditionary FARPs are absolutely critical for long range attack, air assault, and support aviation units, making them a high-priority target for enemy small arms and heavy ballistic attacks.
