Forward Operating Base (FOB) in a Box™

Quickly establishing an effective ballistics perimeter is a critical aspect of expedient warfare. Existing force protection systems, such as wire mesh gabions and T-walls, offer limited delivery and deployment options due to weight restrictions, logistical limitations, and construction time.

The Defencell system has developed a light weight, 100% geotextile solution that addresses many of these logistical hurdles. Deemed the FOB in a Box, one 20 foot container of Defencell can produce a 100 man FOB that measures 250 x 250 x 8. A Defencell unit's lack of metal mounting hardware, coupled with its use of compactable material, minimizes container weight for easy sling load operations.

A full container of Defencell barriers weigh less than half of a container of wire mesh gabion products, yet provides a larger coverage area. Defencell’s FOB in a Box provides a rapidly deployable solution for securing forward assets, hardening strategic points, and construction perimeter fortifications for remote locations.
